"Peter Paulsen Quintet" by Peter Paulsen Quintet (Instrumental Artist from Pennsylvania)

The brilliant group, Peter Paulsen Quintet, releases a superb collection of instrumental Jazz music on their latest album, "Goes Without Saying." The songs on this album not only have a free flowing form, they also have a smooth vibe with some splendid Jazz styles. This tight knit group has great precision and offers creative originality within their music. The song, "Fee Fi Fo Fum," has a smooth rhythm while the piano gracefully and deftly glides across the keys with a rich melodic tonality. You will like the Avant Garde style of the song, "You Said You'd Call," as the cello takes on a somber and soulful melody. "Compensation," has all the right moves as the horns take the melody while the soft drum brushes and piano complement this wonderful song. If you are looking for the not so typical Jazz compositions, then the terrific album, "Goes Without Saying" is just the album you need to hear as they mix it up with modern touches and Avant Garde modes.

"A Brief Night Out" by Marla Mase (Artist from New York)

Marla Mase and her debut album, "A Brief Night Out," kick out a collection of songs that are packed with stimulating Adult Alternative Pop/Rock music. Mase, who is a talented writer, performer, producer, singer, and songwriter, crafted these songs for her Rock and Roll musical of the same name. As you listen to this album you will find her lyrics reflect her strong personality as she is not afraid to say what she thinks. The song, "Exquisite Drops," has an ambiance of suspense as you hear Mase voice telling her story while the strings play a rising riff that leaves you on the edge of your seats. Mase really speaks her mind on the song, "D.F.W.M.E." as this song blisters with tough Rock attitude. Mase voice is sweet and charming on the song, "Lily Pad," as she sings with a delightful style. You'll find the songs on the excellent album, "A Brief Night Out," not only interesting but refreshing with dynamic attitude.
